Based on the versatile use of the E-MAXI L, the German railway company Abellio decided to purchase two battery tractors each for operation at their service locations Abellio Rail NRW GmbH in Hagen and Abellio Rail Mitteldeutschland GmbH in Sangerhausen. The vehicles will perform the everyday shunting work in the washing facilities and repair workshops there.
